Infrared windows made from silicon (Si) are highly effective for applications in the 1.1–7μm range, with a particular emphasis on the 3–5μm spectrum, commonly used in thermal imaging systems. These windows are lightweight, with a density of 2.329 g/cm³, making them ideal for weight-sensitive environments while providing durability and excellent infrared transmission. Available with AR/AR or AR/DLC coatings specifically designed for the 3–5μm range, these coatings enhance performance and protect the optics. Custom coating options are also available, ensuring flexibility for specialized infrared applications.
